Greetings Brothers!

• I hope everyone is enjoying what is left of our sometimes too short summer here in upstate New York. I know my summer has been very busy both with labor AND refreshment!
• I am excited for what this year has to come for our lodge and I want to work hard at making our times together equally invigorating and enriching as a we come together in our Masonic fellowship. I have come to learn that what I get out of Masonry is commensurate to what I put into it, as in life. So, I urge you all to participate with me in continuing bring a new life back into our lodge.
• I want to go back to a schedule of to keep the first meeting of the month for more intense business stuff and degree work and the second meeting to be shorter and more programs. This of course is by no means set in stone but I want to give brothers something to look forward to when you come to lodge. I have spoken with a few of you about programs and lectures and I am working on finalizing a schedule as we speak.
• A few dates to remember are:
  • 10/3 as we raise our brother Jeffery David Knapp to the sublime degree of Master Mason.
  • 11/3 Oneonta Lodge hosts the GL convention
  • 12/1 official visit by our DDGM RW Keith Dickison
• We will hold ritual practice every Sunday at 7pm and I want to open it up to the district so that brothers from any lodge can come and work on their ritual work. If we don’t have a specific degree I may see about traveling to other lodges occasionally with our practice- to be determined still.
• One more note- I have recently had the honor of being chosen to act as AGL for our district along side our current AGL’s, VW Maciej Zoltowski and VW Nathan Davis. I actually tried to turn the position down but our dear brother VW Steven Garreau is quite persuasive! Of the district positions I would want though, this is the one! I am honored and excited to work alongside our brothers to bring passion and dedication to our beautiful and most important ritual work.
• I look forward to the coming year and seeing you all in the quarries!!
